
Bio
Jordan Neville was admitted to the bar in 2019 and joined Riverlands Chambers in April 2025. He began his legal career at Saunders & Co Lawyers, where he worked until 2022 before moving to Amy Lake Barrister at Walker Street Chambers. His practice focuses on family law and criminal law, with a particular emphasis on advocacy in Family Court matters.
Jordan’s family law work covers a wide range of issues, including care of children, protection orders, separation and division of relationship property, dissolution of marriage, guardianship disputes, and matters involving Oranga Tamariki under the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989. He is known for his thorough preparation, clear communication, and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for his clients.
He holds an LLB and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Human Services. Jordan is an active member of the legal profession, serving as a member of the Family Law Section, the Canterbury Westland Branch Council for the Law Society, and the Family Courts Association (acting secretary).
He is also a committee member of the New Lawyers Group and was formerly the convenor of the New Lawyers Committee for Canterbury Westland.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys outdoor education, multi-day hiking, and building LEGO creations.
