
Bio
Angeline Boniface is a barrister at Riverlands Chambers, practising in family and employment law. She was admitted to the bar in 1992 and has spent over 30 years in private practice, including long-standing roles as an associate and partner in Christchurch firms.
In 2021, Angeline began practising as a barrister, bringing her considerable experience and a practical, solutions-focused mindset to her clients. She joined Riverlands Chambers in 2025.
Angeline has a particular depth of experience in all aspects of family law, including appointments as lawyer for children and lawyer for subject persons. She is also trained in collaborative practice and regularly assists clients with employment matters, from reviewing agreements to representing them in the Employment Relations Authority.
Her approach is grounded in fairness, clear communication, and finding workable outcomes that serve everyone involved.
Angeline holds an LL.B from the University of Otago and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Human Resources) from Massey University. Outside of law, she enjoys playing the piano and guitar, cycling, and walking the dog.
