
Bio
Amy was admitted to the bar in 2006 and has worked exclusively in litigation since beginning her legal career. She joined Riverlands Chambers in 2025 after over 15 years of practice across family, criminal, and insurance law.
Her experience includes:
Starting her legal career at Corcoran French in 2007, working across family law, minor criminal, and traffic matters
Representing clients in insurance disputes post-Christchurch earthquakes, including working with trans-Tasman insurers
Serving as Supervising Senior Solicitor at Ebborn Law (now Portia) from 2012–2017, where she was responsible for mentoring junior staff and overseeing all aspects of family law
Practising as a barrister since 2017, initially with Walker Street Chambers before joining Riverlands
Amy is passionate about working alongside clients during challenging times in the Family Court. She takes a collaborative, child-focused approach to resolving matters and has proudly served as Lawyer for Child since 2015—a role she considers both a privilege and a serious responsibility.
She studied law at the University of Canterbury and has completed additional Collaborative Advocacy Training.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys ballroom dancing, rock climbing, and tramping, and she values time spent with her family.
